Burma: Tomás Ojea Quintana arrived Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon

Nay Pyi Taw, August 21 -- The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, Tomás Ojea Quintana arrived Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon for his five-day fact finding mission.
This is his fourth visit to Myanmar, which will last five days up to August 25.
Appointed as Special Rapporteur by the United Nations Human Rights Council in May 2008, Quintana had come here first time in August 2008, second time in February 2009 and third time in February 2010.
“Mr. Quintana has met separately with Myanmar Foreign Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin, Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Ko Ko, who is also the Chairman of Myanmar Human Rights Council, and Myanmar Deputy Police Chief in Nay Pyi Taw today,” the state-owned TV announced late tonight.
Quintana is due to meet with democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi on August 24 and he is scheduled to give a short press briefing at Yangon International Airport on the day of his return on August 25 this year.
