Fight between DKBA & Junta
09 November 2010
Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) calls for the international community to intervene the conflict in Myawaddy, Burma. The fight broke out on the previous days between junta’s troops and DKBA splinter group led by Colonel Saw Lah Pwe (a) Na Kham Mwe which rejects the junta’s border guard force (BGF) proposal.
The fight started due to the junta’s forceful acts on the public to vote on the sham election and mounting pressure to be the Border Guard Force (BGF) under the command of the junta.
Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) understands that sometimes we fight the war for PEACE but our prayers are with the people affected by the war.
In solidarity,
Burma Democratic Concern (BDC)
