Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) welcomes USA government’s position and EU statement on the junta’s election (BDC-08 Nov 2010)

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) welcomes USA government’s position on the junta’s election. We are happy to learn that US government is seeing the true situation of Burma.

President Obama said the elections would "be anything but free and fair".

We also welcomes EU statement saying that junta is holding the election without honoring the 1990 election. We are happy to learn that EU is seeing the true situation of Burma.

This is the Burma Democratic Concern (BDC)’s long time position which is in line with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi led NLD, the victors of the 1990 election, since we have been consistently calling for to boycotts junta’s planned sham election.

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) has been persistently lobbying international community that “We don’t need another elections in Burma, implement 1990 election results first”.
