Many die in Burma ferry sinking

At least 50 people are feared dead after a ferry collided with a barge and sank in Burma's Irrawaddy Delta.
Burmese officials said the crash happened in the Ngawun River, 134km (84 miles) west of Rangoon, soon after the ferry left Pathein town on Sunday.
There were 176 passengers on board. Rescue teams found about 30 bodies but many remain missing, officials said.
Ferry accidents in the delta region - where many areas are inaccessible by road - are common.
