Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) Movements Inside Burma

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) Movements Inside Burma
BDC, UHRC, FBF and TBM collaborated together and carried out the campaign inside Burma on Burma’s Resistance Day, 27th March 2009 calling for all Burmese people to work to restore democracy in Burma. We distributed leaflets, pamphlets, postcards, statements, and open letter to soldiers in Rangoon, Burma. In BDC’s statement calling for all the people of Burma to work to realise 4 Main Principles Demanded by Aung San Suu Kyi, in the postcards with the portraits of Aung San Suu Kyi, Khun Htun Oo, Myo Yan Naung Thein, Min Ko Naing, Ko Ko Gyi, Htay Kyawe and Aung Than with the message in Burmese stating Free All Political Prisoners Immediately, in the open letter to soldier stating the message calling for Patriotic Soldiers to Stand by with People.

Burma Democratic Concern (BDC) Movement Outside Burma
BDC organised the demonstrations on 27 March 2009, Burma’s Resistance Day, in front of the Junta’s Embassy and in front of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
In front of the Junta’s embassy, more than hundred activists from various organisations attended and we reaffirmed our position to work to implement 1990 election result in which Aung San Suu Kyi’s party won landslide victory and to reject Junta’s planned sham 2010 election.
Demonstration in front of the FCO, as part of the Europe-wide day of action for Burma, BDC collaborated together with FBE-UK, we demanded the EU governments to strengthen more sanctions on Burma, not to endorse Junta’s 2010 elections and to put more pressure on Burma.
We believe that in order to achieve our destination, democratisation of Burma, we must synchronize movement inside and outside Burma. We Will Win as we are doing the right thing.
