ကိုမင္းကိုႏိုင္ဟာ နာမည္ရင္း ျဖစ္တဲ့ ေပၚဦးထြန္း အမည္နဲ ့ ၁၉၈၈ ခုႏွစ္မတိုင္ခင္က သႀကၤန္သံခ်ပ္အဖြဲ ့ျဖစ္တဲ့ “ဆိတ္ပါးစပ္နဲ ့နတ္မ်က္စိ” ဆိုတဲ့ သံခ်ပ္အဖြဲ ့မွာ ပါ၀င္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။

နာမည္ေက်ာ္ႀကားတဲ့ “ဆိတ္ပါးစပ္နဲ ့နတ္မ်က္စိ” ဆိုတဲ့ သံခ်ပ္အဖြဲ ့ဟာ ေန၀င္း ဦးေဆာင္တဲ့ တစ္ပါတီ အာဏာရွင္ မဆလပါတီနဲ ့ လက္ေအာက္ဘက္ေတာ္သားမ်ားရဲ ့ ညံ့ဖ်င္းလွတဲ့ အုပ္ခ်ဴပ္မွဳ ယႏၱယားနဲ ့ လဘ္ေပးလဘ္ယူမွဳကိစၥေတြကို အထူးေ၀ဖန္ေျပာဆိုခဲ့တဲ့ ျပည္သူလူထု ေသာင္းေသာင္းျဖျဖ အားေပးခဲ့တဲ့ သံခ်ပ္အဖြဲ ့တစ္ဖြဲ ့ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Happy Birthday Ko Min Ko Naing

Min Ko Naing is the leader of the ABFSU, All Burma Federation of Student Unions. Since the Burmese uprising in 1988 he has been one of the leaders of the democracy movement in Burma, and he has been in prison aprox. 17 years because of this. The prominent student leader was again arrested in August 2007, and remain in prison today.

Between January 2007 and August 2007, Min Ko Naing was free. He then set up the 88 Generation group together with other leaders from the democracy movement.

Because of his time spent in isolation cell, Min Ko Naing har severe trouble with his hearing. The student leader also suffers from a bad eye infection in prison.
